RYT 200
I’m happy to announce that I’ve recently completed the 200-hour Alignment Yoga teacher training at Eugene Yoga Center. Over the past eight months, I’ve had the great fortune of studying, reflecting, learning, and growing with a group of dedicated, compassionate individuals who are working to serve diverse communities. The tools and knowledge I’ve gathered through this deeply enriching experience will allow me to better benefit the children I have the privilege of working with in my Imagination Yoga classes. I am deeply grateful to my teachers, Julia Siporin and Jennifer Jamieson for their guidance and support throughout this journey.
What Is Alignment Yoga?
The Alignment Yoga program teaches healthy alignment and functional movement for the modern age alongside the ancient philosophy that provides the foundation of yoga practice. This practical approach, informed by millennia-old traditions as well as a modern understanding of anatomy, physiology, and neuroscience, gives teachers an abundance of tools to help students find strength, balance, and flexibility in their bodies, minds, and everyday lives. I’m excited to bring what I’ve learned to children, parents, and teachers in our community.
New Imagination Yoga Curriculum
I’ll also be joining Jamie and Jessica at the Imagination Yoga studio in Portland this weekend. They have published a new IY curriculum, and we’ll be discussing this as well as new tips and insights for inspiring and empowering children through Imagination Yoga.
Stay tuned for upcoming offerings!
Namaste,
Diane
